Darnton Builders is a residential construction company located in Harbor Springs, Michigan. Our affiliation with Wisconsin Log Homes as an independent distributor for the northern Michigan area began in 1996. Since that time we have worked together on 25 log homes. We currently have one under construction in Boyne City.

Wisconsin Log Homes specializes in custom-designed log and timber homes. Using their Thermal-Log building system - traditional 2 x 6 framing filled with 6" of insulation, then an exterior log layer - creates a wall system of superior integrity and energy efficiency.

The Thermal-Log system provides a cozy, warm environment in the winter, and a cool one in the summer as well as enabling the home owner to have a great deal of flexibility with interior finish selections. Walls may be finished with optional hand-dressed interior log, drywall, wood paneling or a combination of these.

Home designs can be ultra-traditional, or ultra-modern - and can be as small or large as you wish.
